Lexie Contursi is a professional dancer, actress and creative director whose journey in dance began in her hometown of Laguna Beach, California. What started as a childhood passion quickly evolved into a full-time career that carried her from local studios throughout Orange County and Los Angeles to some of the world’s most iconic stages. After completing the EDGE Performing Arts Center Scholarship Program, Lexie went on to work professionally in film, television, live tours, and major award shows, performing alongside some of the industry’s most respected choreographers and artists.

Through years of performing at the highest level, Lexie experienced firsthand the power of mentorship, community, and those pivotal moments when a teacher’s belief can change the trajectory of a young dancer’s life. She also saw what was often missing in large-scale training environments: intimacy, continuity, and the space for dancers to be truly seen, supported, and guided beyond a single class.

Prima Dance Club was born from a full-circle calling, a desire to return to the studio environment that first shaped her and to offer the next generation the kind of experience she once dreamed of. An experience where world-class artists walk into local studios not as distant figures, but as present mentors. Where dancers are known by name, encouraged to take risks, given a second chance to grow, and supported both technically and personally.

As Founder and Creative Director, Lexie’s vision for PDC is rooted in high-touch, high-impact education: convention-level energy and inspiration in an intimate, community-driven setting. A space where artistry, confidence, and connection are nurtured side by side and where the culture is just as important as the choreography.

At its heart, Prima Dance Club is Lexie’s way of giving back to the community that shaped her, bringing it to the beginning where her own love for dance was first nurtured, in the dance studio. It is designed to support and uplift the studio ecosystem by offering dancers an experience that complements their training: personal, inspiring, and grounded in mentorship, connection, and growth.
